One of the most popular and iconic basketball shoe designs of all time, the Chuck Taylor boot was created with sport in mind. The classics we’re most familiar with, the white hightop with red and blue trim, was designed by the man himself for the 1935 American Olympic Basketball team. Lots of things have changed since then but their iconic design has stayed pretty much the same, and now it’s ready for anything. Rumour has it that Converse designers decided to create a waterproof version after watching a roadie loading equipment into a van whilst having to walk through ice puddles. Seeing his obvious discomfort they decided to create a trainer that could keep him dry, and thankfully for us, they succeeded!
